Missoula, Montana – BNSF System Committee’s MRL Train Dispatchers have ratified an agreement that will potentially slow the transfer of their work from Missoula, MT to the BNSF’s Network Operation Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The agreement is designed to keep Dispatcher positions in Montana, and only move them to Texas as each one is unable to be filled in Montana due to attrition. As an additional benefit of this agreement, the MRL Train Dispatchers will receive a 5% general wage increase.
ATDA Vice President Kevin Porter, acting as interim General Chairman, was instrumental in negotiating the agreement. Porter said, “This agreement, which ratified overwhelmingly, will give our members the best chance possible to finish their Train Dispatching careers in Missoula, Montana.
